What inspired the creation of Sómeu?
The whole journey of Sómeu began in a very personal place - right at home, with my mom.
She was going through some really tough times, and all I wanted was to find a way to care for her, especially since she's not the kind to fuss over lengthy skincare routines.
That's where the idea for our first product, the Sómeu Face and Body Oil, sprouted. It was all about creating something simple, yet effective. To hydrate her skin and ease those fine lines, without the hassle of multiple steps.
Then, I noticed something missing in the market - a real, heartfelt need for skincare that fits effortlessly into the lives of the everyday person. Be it a hardworking parent, a student buried in books, or anyone who can't find the time for a complex skincare regimen.
Teaming up with The Natural Pharmacy in Limpopo, we crafted a range that's extraordinary and truly inclusive of all skin types. We aimed to offer a slice of daily luxury, an easy step to nurture the skin in the midst of life's hustle.
And that's how Sómeu came into being - a brand rooted in compassion, simplicity, and the desire to bring a touch of care to everyone's day.
